Danny Lyness

Danny joined Wainwright & Cummins in 2008, becoming Head of the Family Department in 2014 and is currently one of the senior partners of the firm.

Danny specialises in public law childcare cases in which he has achieved a reputation for success ensured by an approach which is “extraordinarily tenacious”. He has considerable experience representing parents and grandparents in the lower and higher courts including the Supreme Court. He is also a member of Resolution and the Law Society’s Children Panel.

Clients appreciate his assured and understanding manner, which allows him to effectively manage cases involving complex relationships, and the difficult emotions to which these can give rise. He has a strong interest in seeing that justice is done and is indefatigable in his desire for fair play.
