Grace joined Wainwright and Cummins in August 2010, having completed the Legal Practice course (Legal Aid route) at the College of Law in June 2010.
Prior to this, Grace graduated with a Law degree from the University of Birmingham in 2009, where she was an active member of the Holdsworth Law Society. Grace is dedicated to working in Legal Aid and is a member of Young Legal Aid Lawyers.
Grace has previously done volunteer and pro-bono work with an independent domestic violence drop in centre where she helped vulnerable individuals with various problems in family and private law matters, as well as assisting with housing needs.
Grace's cases cover all aspects of social housing law. She deals with all homelessness matters including making homeless applications, reviewing negative homeless decisions and Judicial Review Housing Act 1996 cases, tenancy status and allocation issues and assignment issues as well as applications to suspend warrants of eviction and defending possession proceedings. She also deals with illegal eviction and harassment cases, disrepair actions in the county court and anti-social behaviour cases.
